Educational Visit and Volunteer Work at Larissa Municipal Nursing Home – May 2015

In May 2015, occupational therapy students visited the Larissa Municipal Nursing Home. This visit inspired the formation of a volunteer group that, on their own initiative, revitalized the occupational therapy workshop with regular weekly visits.

Students were deeply touched by the loneliness and needs of the elderly residents, gaining an understanding of the profound importance of companionship, a smile, or a simple conversation.

Despite the challenges, the nursing home’s staff continue their tireless efforts to ensure the residents’ comfort. During times of limited support, volunteers’ contributions proved vital.

We warmly thank the management and staff of the Larissa Municipal Nursing Home for their cooperation and hospitality.
