Coaching and Culinary Arts: A Holistic Approach to Energy – May 2015
In May 2015, coaching and culinary arts students took part in a dynamic educational activity that combined physical exercise and nutrition. A group of coaching students engaged in one hour and twenty minutes of basketball, expending substantial calories during the session.In the same time, culinary students prepared a meal carefully designed to replenish the energy expended by the athletes. This cross-disciplinary activity was expertly orchestrated by the coaching instructor, culinary instructor, and the school’s dietitian-nutritionist.
This initiative exemplified an intelligent, synergistic approach between sports training and culinary arts, emphasizing the critical role of nutrition in athletic performance and health.
It was an enriching experience that provided knowledge and enjoyment to all participants.
