The “LIVING HERITAGE: strategies for innovative education of the European Cultural Heritage” project was a transnational ERASMUS+ initiative, coordinated by Diputacion Provincial de Palencia (Spain), with participation from organizations from various EU countries.
The project aimed to examine to what extent cultural heritage is taught within primary and secondary education systems at local and regional levels, and to identify the best approach for students and young people to learn about the cultural heritage of their area.
Well-documented examples from participating countries concerning successes and failures in engaging youth with their cultural heritage were analyzed.
